SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's volleyball team swept William Jessup, 25-19, 25-17, 25-16, in its season opener at the Otter Classic. The Otters are 1-0 while the Warriors drop to 0-6.
After racking up six kills in the third set, junior
Rheann Fall finished with a double-double, 11 kills and 12 digs, to lead the Otters. Junior
Melanie Lashbrook tallied seven kills on 12 attempts (.500) while junior redshirt
Lauren Shacklock nabbed nine kills on 22 attempts (.364).
The Otters return to the Kelp Bed in Saturday's opening match, taking on the Thunderwolves of Colorado State Pueblo at 11 a.m.
