Round Two Results
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The Cal State Monterey Bay men's golf team is tied for tenth place despite improving on yesterday's 310 by carding a 307 in the second round for a 41-over-par 617 total at the NCAA Division II National Championships at Sagamore Golf Club.
Freshman #Dylan Jackson# improved his score by five strokes, finishing the round with a 2-over-par 74 and is tied for 31st place. Junior #Oskar Nystrom# also stepped up on the second day by carding a 4-over-par 75, nine strokes better than his previous round. Nystrom is tied for 63rd place.
Senior #John Jackson# and junior #Anthony Valdez# continue to turn in identical scores, this time scoring a 7-over-par 79 and are tied for 50th place. Yesterday's leading scorer for CSUMB, junior #Scott Yeakel# had a rough day by carding an 11-over-par 83 and tied for 54th place.
Florida Southern College jumped to the top of the leaderboard after turning in a 4-over-par 292 in today's round. Yesterday's leader, Nova Southeastern University is tied with Sonoma State with a two-day score of 28-over-par 604.
Ben Lasso of University of Charlotte - Queen's is the individual leader with a 2-over-par 143.
