UP NEXT: The Otters begin CCAA play on Friday, Sept. 11, when they welcome the Warriors of Cal State Stanislaus to the Otter Sports Center. 

LOOKING AHEAD: The Otters hosts three CCAA matches in four days next week, welcoming San Francisco State on Wednesday, Sept. 16, follow by match-ups against Humboldt State and Sonoma State on Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19, respectively.

PAST WEEKEND: CSUMB was in San Francisco last week, playing in the California Clash Invitational hosted by San Francisco State.  The Otters won three of their four matches at the event, opening with a five-set victory over Hawaii Pacific University (25-19, 25-21, 22-25, 20-25, 15-10), followed by a four-set rally win over Chaminade University (25-27, 25-20, 25-16, 25-18).  CSUMB swept Dominican University in Saturday's morning match (25-15, 25-18, 25-18) before falling to Notre Dame de Namur (25-17, 19-25, 25-16, 25-15) in the tournament finale.

SOFTBALL CCAA BANNER CEREMONY: The 2009 CCAA Tournament Champions CSUMB softball team will be honored by the unveiling of its championship banner on Friday, Sept 11 at the CSUMB-Stanislaus volleyball match.  This was the first CCAA championship in CSUMB history.

CHASING 1,000: #Katie Bos# is 14 digs away from 1,000 for her career.  The senior should surpass the milestone before the CCAA season even begins and is ranked second in the CSUMB record books for digs behind Brittany Etchings (1,304 from 2004-07).

THE SERIES WITH THE WARRIORS: CSUMB has had much success against the Cal State Stanislaus Warriors and carries a 9-2 mark against them.  The Otters were victorious in the last meeting against the Warriors on Nov. 15. 2008, in four sets (25-14, 25-21, 20-25, 25-23).

THE SERIES WITH THE WILDCATS: CSUMB is 2-9 against Chico State all-time. The Wildcats swept CSUMB (25-15, 25-17, 25-22) on Nov. 14, 2008.
