Final Results
SEASIDE, Calif. – With winds up to 25 miles per hour, the Cal State Monterey Bay women's golf team shot a 330 today to finish tied for fourth in the Lady Otter Invitational held at Bayonet Golf Course.
The Otters final 36-hole score of 643 tied them with Sonoma State and 13 strokes more than tournament champion Cal Baptist (630). Grand Canyon moved into second after a carding the lowest score of the day (316) to finish with a 636 and Western Washington took third with a 642.
Cal Baptist's Adriana Niclotti took the lead away from teammate Nathalie Silva to capture the individual medalist honors. Niclotti shot an 80 today to finish with a 8-over-par 154.
The Otters were led by sophomore #Courtney Soekland# who finished in seventh with a two day total 12-over-par 158. Senior #Cicilia Chudivan# improved on yesterday's 8-over-par 81 by carding a 6-over-par 79 in the final round to tie for 10th with a 14-over-par 160. Senior #Leticia Halas# recorded 16-over-par 162 to tie for 15th while junior #Darcy Lake# finished tied for 18th after a final score of 17-over-par 163. Freshman #Gianna Waddy# placed 46th with a 28-over-par 174.
Two CSUMB Otters are ranked in the top 25 in the NCAA Division II rankings. Chudivan is ranked fifth with a 4.18 par 4 average (4th in nation) and a 4.92 par-5 average (7th). Soekland is ranked 16th with a 4.27 par 4 average (15th) and a 5.08 par 5 average (23rd).
