Day 1 Results
SEASIDE, Calif. – On a beautiful sunny day at the Bayonet Golf Course the CSUMB Lady Otter Invitational got underway with the Otters sitting in second place. The Cal State Monterey Bay women's golf team shot a combined round of 21-over-par 313 and are only six strokes back of first round leader Cal Baptist.
Nathalie Silva and Adriana Niclotti hold first and second place with a 1-under-par 72 and 1-over-par 74 respectively, guiding the Cal Baptist Lancers (307) to the top spot on day one. British Columbia occupies third place after firing a 27-over-par 319 and Grand Canyon is fourth with a round of 28-over-par 320.
After a consistent round with four birdies, sophomore #Courtney Soekland# led CSUMB with a 2-over-par 75 and currently sits in third place.
Also playing well for CSUMB was junior #Darcy Lake# who is tied for fourth after round one. She carded a 5-over-par 78 and also recorded four birdies on the day.
The other two scorers for CSUMB came from seniors #Leticia Halas# and #Cicilia Chudivan#. Halas shot a round of 6-over-par 79 to tie for seventh, while Chudivan finished with an 8-over-par 81 and is tied for 18th.
Freshman #Gianna Waddy# completed the CSUMB lineup with a round of 10-over-par 83. She is currently tied for 35th.
Freshman #Lindsay Shoot#, playing for the “Blue” team, is currently tied for tenth after carding a 7-over-par 80. Freshman #Sara Crofcheck# followed with an 8-over-par and tied for 18th while classmate #Melissa Conroy# turned in a 12-over-par 85. Freshman #Jennifer Lung# is tied for 41st after finishing with a 13-over-par 86. Junior #Caroline Clements# rounded out the Otter golfers with a 17-over-par 90.
The Otters finish their fall season tomorrow with an 8:30 a.m. start time.
