Otters Fall To No. 7 CSUDH

SEASIDE, Calif. – In their conference opener, the Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team fell 1-0 to No. 7 Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday, Sept. 12 at the Otters Soccer Complex. The Toros remain undefeated at 6-0 as CSUMB drops to 0-3-1 on the season.

The lone goal of game came in the 19th minute on junior Kris Clark's rebound that came off junior goalkeeper #Brendan Baca# gloves.

With the Toros outshooting the Otters 20-3, strong defense and great saves by the duo of Baca and sophomore #Sam Campanelli# prevented the Toros from raising the lead.

“We came within inches of tying the game in the last seconds,” said head coach Artie Cairel. “With a young and exciting team, I am proud of their effort and commitment to each other.”

The Otters returns to the field to host UC San Diego on Sunday, Sept. 14 at Otter Sports Complex.  Kick-off is at 2 p.m.
