CHICO --- #Homa Shafii# and #Ashlee Trotter# hit back-to-back RBI singles to finish up a four-run rally in the seventh inning that put the Otters over the top against Oregon Tech on Friday.

#Angela Cabral# (7-4) allowed two runs, both in the fifth, in a complete-game effort and Cal State Monterey Bay,  with the 4-2 victory, improved to 15-11 on the season. Trotter had three hits in the game, including a double, but none as important as Shafii's go-ahead single in the seventh.

The big inning started with a pinch hit single by #Channing Peebles#, followed by another single by #Marisa Trujillo#. #Erin Tate# later singled and the Otters took advantage of an Oregon Tech throwing error to tie the game. The speedy #Casey Kaufman# came in to pinch run for Tate and she would score on Shafii's base hit to left field. Shafii scored the final run on Trotter's hit.

The Otters are playing a mini-tournament in Chico this weekend and will face Chico State and Sonoma State on Saturday.
