Otters Win On Senior Day

Senior Day for Reed Mills, Dexy Gaudoin, and Nick McGill

Torricelli's goal clinches final victory

SEASIDE, Calif.
– The Cal State Monterey Bay men's soccer team wrapped up their 2008 campaign with a 2-0 victory against Cal State East Bay on Sunday afternoon at the Otter Soccer Complex.

The Otters finish the season with a 4-12-4 overall record and 3-8-3 in CCAA play.

Junior #Nate Torricelli# scored the lone goal of the game on the Otters first shot of the game. Sophomore #Andy Binol# passed to wide open sophomore #Kevin Amaral# who crossed it to Torricelli on the right side of the field.  Torricelli then blasted the ball to the back of the net.

Junior #Brenden Baca# recorded four saves as the Otters outshot CSUEB 11-7.

"I am very proud of the team to rally around the seniors and send them off with a home victory," said head coach Artie Cairel. "It was a program win today exhibiting the true spirit of our soccer program at CSUMB."

The Otters honored their three seniors, #Nick McGill#, #Dexy Gaudoin# and #Reed Mills#, prior to the game.
