SEASIDE, Calif. — Biola University scored the first four goals of the fourth quarter to blow open a tight game en route to a 14–9 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay Friday in the Otter Tank.

The teams traded 1-goal leads throughout the first half before settling on a 5–5 tie at intermission. It was still a 2-goal game entering the fourth quarter when the Eagles scored on four of their first five possessions in the period to take a 13–7 lead that, for all intents and purposes, iced the game.

Emma Sosa (Tustin/Foothill HS) recorded her seventh hat trick of the season and second in a row to lead the Otter offense. Freshman Olivia Gutierrez (San Diego/Bonita Vista HS) and senior Ximena Pichon (Clovis HS) led the team with four points.

Sophomore Marissa White (Union City/Mission San Jose HS) played a strong game in goal for the Otters, making 15 stops on 29 Eagle attempts.

The Otters will jump right back into the tank Saturday when they host WWPA rival Concordia University for the final home game of the 2026 season. First sprint is scheduled for 1 p.m.
