SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team ended up splitting its series with Chico State after a 6-1 defeat on Sunday afternoon at the Otter Sports Complex. After the series, the Otters move to 16-9 overall and 9-7 in CCAA play.
A three-run fourth and a two-run eighth proved to be the difference for the Wildcats as they out-hit the Otters, 10-8.

Cole Murchison recorded multi-hit games for CSUMB. Murchison drove in the lone run for the Otters on a double that plated
Javier Felix in the fourth inning.
Speaking of Felix, he paced the squad with a .467 average, four runs and seven hits in the four-game set.
The Otters will hit the road for a key series at Cal State San Bernardino. The two teams will start the four-game series on Friday, March 28, with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
