SEASIDE, Calif. - The Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team earned a 4-1 victory over Jessup University Friday evening at the Otter Sports Complex. The victory moves the Otters to 13-7 on the season.
CSUMB has enjoyed playing at home, moving to 8-1 on the season in Seaside. The Otters collected five hits and took advantage of two errors to secure the victory.
The top of the order accounted for four of the five hits on the evening and
Dominic Felice scored two runs to pace the Otters.
The two teams traded runs in the second and then CSUMB scored in the third and added two more in the sixth to secure the win.
Daniel Flores allowed one run on one hit in his three-inning start, and
Ryan Io earned his first win of the season, throwing two innings of scoreless relief.
Andrew Kotin was credited with his third save of the season in a flawless ninth.
The two teams will return to action tomorrow at Noon.
