POMONA, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team dropped its series finale to Cal Poly Pomona, 11-10, Sunday afternoon at Scolinos Field.
The Otters were once again upended in the late innings as the Broncos scored three runs in the eighth to secure the series win.
KW Quilici drove in six runs on a 3-for-5 effort and
Dominic Felice batted 2-for-5 with three RBI.
Jaden Sheppard and
Cole Murchison collected multi-hits on the day.
Quilici hit two home runs, one in the sixth and another in eighth, while Felice started the power-surge in the fourth.
The Otters open conference play at home against Sonoma State, beginning Friday, Feb. 28.
