LIVE SCORING

KOHALA COAST, Hawaii — Cal State Monterey Bay put two solid rounds together to grab the 36-hole lead at the Dennis Rose Men's Golf Invitational Monday at the Mauna Lani Golf Resort.

The Otters went 3-under in the morning and 4-over in the afternoon to finish the day at plus-one, good for a 3-stroke lead over host Hawaii-Hilo entering Tuesday's final round. The Univ. of Missouri-St. Louis (+7), Colorado Christian (+8) and Northwest Nazarene (+14) round out the top five.

Grand Canyon University transfer Alex Cooke (Spokane, Wash./Gonzaga Prep) carded rounds of even par in the morning and 3-under 69 in the afternoon to claim a share of third place through 36 holes. He'll enter the final round trailing co-leaders Dylan Bercan of Hawaii-Hilo and Logan Mayo of UMSL by two shots.

Also lurking in the top 10 is Otter senior Colin Huang (Newport Beach/Corona Del Mar HS), who posted rounds of 70 and 74 (E) for a share of eighth place, five strokes off the lead. CSUMB's other three golfers — George Goff (+2), Kash Cantrell (+3) and Simon Germain (+5) — all earned spots in the Top 20 in 13th, 15th and 19th place respectively.

The Dennis Rose Invitational concludes with 18 holes Tuesday. Live scoring can be found on Scoreboard Powered by clippd.
