HAYWARD, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team fell to Cal State East Bay, 70-53, Thursday evening at the Pioneer Gym.
Jayden McNeal recorded her first career double-double in an Otter uniform as she posted a season-best 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. The College of Southern Idaho transfer shot 7-of-12 from the floor and added three steals.
Junior
A'ajah Slocum continued her hot play as she poured in 15 points and added eight rebounds.
The Otters outrebounded the Pioneers, 38-37, but only shot 32-percent from the floor. The two teams went into the intermission at 27-26 after CSUMB raced out to a 12-8 first quarter lead but CSUEB scored 43 second half points to secure the win.

THEY'VE GOT NEXT… The Otters will continue their two-week road-trip with a Saturday matinee at San Francisco State. CSUMB will then head south to face Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday, Jan. 16, and Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday, Jan. 18.
