SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team dropped the backend of its New Year's homestand against Cal Poly Humboldt, 59-44, Saturday afternoon at the Kelp Bed.
Without the CCAA leading scorer in
Ella Doherty, the CSUMB offense sputtered, shooting only 33-percent from the floor and posting two single-digit scoring quarters.
Freshman
Leah Sarabia had a career-day, scoring 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting and pulled down four rebounds.
A'ajah Slocum nearly had a double-double, tallying eight points and recording a career-high 12 rebounds.
