SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's water polo team held tight into the waning seconds of regulation, but eventually fell in overtime to Fresno Pacific in their final appearance at the Otter Tank this season, 12-10, on Saturday afternoon.
The Sunbirds scored with five seconds remaining to extend the game into overtime and then outscored the Otters, 4-2, in extra time.
CSUMB raced out to a 6-4 lead at the half after scoring three goals in each of the first two periods. The two teams traded goals in the third before FPU scored three times in the fourth to force overtime.
Autumn Day led the Otters with five points on two goals and two assists.

Ximena Pichon all recorded three points apiece. Harper and Tully both found the back of the net twice.
Grace Mensing was clutch in the cage all day, making 18 saves and recording a steal, while firing off four shots.
In her final game at the Otter Tank,
Paige Labayog was recognized before the game with family and friends in attendance. She fired off three shots on her Senior Day.
The Otters will close out their regular season on Friday, April 12, on the road at Biola. First sprint is scheduled for 1 p.m.
