SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team dropped the series finale to Cal State San Bernardino, 14-6, Sunday afternoon at the Otter Sports Complex. CSUMB moves to 25-15 overall and 21-11 in conference play.
The Otters banged out 10 hits as
Jaden Sheppard and
Evan Stauch posted multi-hit games.
Jacob Dressler hit a two-run home run and
Nico Hartojo added a two-run double.
Aidan Lee (2-1) was tagged with his first loss of the season after allowing two runs – one earned in 2 1/3 innings while striking out three.
The Otters batted .310 in the series as
Cole Murchison led the offense with a .471 average on the strength of eight hits. Hartojo batted .400 and drove in a team-high six runs.
CSUMB will hit the road for a four-game series at Chico State. Game one is scheduled for Friday, April 19, with first pitch slated for 6 p.m.
