Otters Edged on the Road by Cal State San Bernardino

CSUMB closes out the week with a 74-67 defeat

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team could not hold onto a first half lead, eventually falling to host Cal State San Bernardino, 74-67, Saturday afternoon at the Coussoulis Arena.
 
Sarah Shaw recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, while Jordan Beaumont paced the Otters with 13 points in 16 minutes of play. Deyliana Lewis chipped in seven points and pulled down 10 boards.

The Otters used a 21-point second quarter and held the Coyotes to just eight to seize a 38-29 lead at the half.

Cal State San Bernardino would erupt for 45 second half points to secure the victory.
 

SHAW KEEPS CLIMBING… With her 12 points on Saturday, Sarah Shaw holds at 13th all-time on the scoring list with 557 points. Next on the list is Krista Herr at 558 points.

SHAW NOW IN THE TOP-5… Sarah Shaw has now surpassed CSUMB Hall of Famer Dana Andrews (2006-09) for No. 5 all-time on the rebounding list. Andrews was in the fifth spot with 473 career rebounds and Shaw now enters the last game of the season with 489 boards.
