CARSON, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team came out of the gate strong but ended up falling to No. 12-ranked Cal State Dominguez Hills, 72-51, Thursday at the Torodome.
The two teams entered halftime tied at 32 and then the Toros rallied for their ninth straight win to start the season to sink the Otters.
CSUMB shot 37-percent from the floor overall but shot 42-percent in the first half, including a 47-percent mark in the opening frame.
Ella Doherty once again paced the Otters with 13 points and added three rebounds.
Jayden McNeal poured in nine points and had three boards in 17 minutes.
