April 22, 2022

SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State Monterey Bay men's golf team earned its 13th consecutive NCAA Regional Championship Tournament bid Friday when the NCAA announced the 80–field.

CSUMB has advanced to the NCAA Regional in each of its 13 seasons of eligibility dating back to 2008. The Otters will be looking to qualify for the NCAA National Championship field for the eighth time in that span.

CSUMB earned its bid as the No. 5 seed in the 10–team West Regional field. Seven of the 10 teams competing will come from the CCAA.

The Otters are coming off a third place finish in 2019, their last regional appearance (COVID wiped out the 2020 and 21 championships). CSUMB went on to a fifth place national finish.

This season's West Regional takes place May 5–7 at the Pueblo Country Club in Pueblo, Colo. The top three teams will qualify automatically for the NCAA National Championship Tournament May 16–20 at TPC Michigan in Detroit.
