Otters Partner With Teamworks For Communications and Logistics

Mobile communications and scheduling enhances student–athlete experience

August 13, 2021

SEASIDE, Calif — Cal State Monterey Bay Athletics is partnering with Teamworks, the leading athlete engagement platform for collegiate and professional organizations, to enhance the experience of all Otter student–athletes.

Through the partnership, CSUMB is implementing Teamworks' mobile communication and scheduling features across all sports, allowing every Otter student–athlete access to day-to-day team information from any location.

"Information sharing and connectivity is more important than ever, and I'm confident Teamworks will help us significantly improve communication and efficiency across our entire department," said CSUMB Director of Athletics Kirby Garry (@kirbygarry). "Teamworks puts us in the position to meet our athletes where they are—on their phones—which makes it an easy decision to move the most fundamental and important daily operations of each of our programs into the platform."

Using Teamworks, CSUMB centralizes class and practice schedules, digitizes team travel itineraries, fosters streamlined communications and more for 250 student–athletes across 13 varsity sports

"We are thrilled to partner department-wide with Cal State Monterey Bay, helping leverage our technology to create innovative processes that help the staff communicate and coordinate more efficiently with student-athletes," says Teamworks CEO and Founder Zach Maurides. "Having one, centralized platform for communication among athletes, coaches, operations, senior leadership and all other stakeholders is key to being able to keep information up-to-date and adapt to decisions and information as it changes."
