Otters Team With HomeTown Ticketing For Digital Ticketing

Fans can now purchase tickets with the tap of an app

SEASIDE, Calif. — Cal State Monterey Bay students, staff and fans now have a more convenient way to buy tickets to Otter Athletic events during thanks to a new partnership with HomeTown Ticketing, the nation's leader in digital ticketing. HomeTown will provide a complete digital ticketing and event management platform beginning with the opening day of Otter Basketball season this Friday (Nov. 12).

The transition to digital ticketing will result in a reliable and simple experience for Otter fans and alow Otter Athletics to more easily manage all events that require tickets for entry.

"I'm thrilled we are able to join a growing number of our California Collegiate Athletic Association peers and partner with Hometown Ticketing," says CSUMB Director of Athletics Kirby Garry (@kirbygarry). "We are confident HTT will significantly improve and modernize our ticketing process for our fans as well as provide workflow efficiencies for our department and university."

Tickets for Otter Athletics events can be purchased through online at OtterAthletics.com or by downloading the HomeTown Fan App. The HomeTown Fan App will allow guests to manage their entire ticketing experience on most iOS or Android mobile devices. From the app. fans can:
  • Purchase and access tickets from their smartphone or mobile device, making it easy to review purchases and and access tickets.
  • Enter the events. All tickets and passes can be scanned directly from the app to enter events, providing for touchless redemption.
  • Search for Otter road games by opponent name if that school is using Hometown Ticketing.

Hometown Ticketing is the official ticketing partner of the CCAA. The Otters join Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Cal State L.A., Cal State San Marcos and Stanislaus State in the shift from traditional paper ticketing to a modern solution to manage all aspects of their event management. Using HomeTown Ticketing for event management also has several benefits to CSUMB including:
  • Paperless transactions that are easy to track and reduce accounting errors.
  • Eliminating the need for in-person advanced ticket purchases.
