SEASIDE, Calif. -- The Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team needed an 8-run seventh inning in order to come from behind to capture an 11-6 victory in the series finalé against Sonoma State on Sunday afternoon. The win gave CSUMB a three games to one series win over the Seawolves, the second series victory in three years.
After falling behind 4-0 early, CSUMB chipped away at SSU throughout the game. Trailing 6-3, CSUMB benefitted from two errors and five walks, all of which came with two outs, to plate eight runs in the seventh inning.
Kyle Narahara got his third win of the season (3-1) after striking out six batters in three and two-thirds innings.

LEADING OFF... Darren Kriz continued to swing a hot bat by going 2-for-3 at the plate with a team leading three RBI.
Ruben Gonzalez smacked his first home run of the season coming on an inside-the-park round trip in the second inning.
ON DECK... Narahara's three and two-thirds innings in relief was his longest outing of his career. Before today his longest outing was two innings which he did twice in 2016.
IN THE HOLE... The Otters remain in second place in the CCAA North Division, one game ahead of Stanislaus State. The Otters will visit the Warriors for a 4-game series next week.
