SEASIDE, Calif. -- The Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team played a competitive doubleheader on Saturday against Cal Poly Pomona in which CSUMB won game one 3-1 and came from behind for a walkoff 4-3 win in game two at the Otter Sports Center.
Game one saw an impressive outing from
Jeffery Ahern as he lasted six innings and only allowed one run on five hits, earning his fourth win of the season (4-0).
Kyle Narahara continued to be a dominate force in the closer roll, notching his sixth save of the season in the 3-1 win.
Game two saw the Otters fall behind 3-1 early, but saw success in the late innings scoring a run in seventh, eighth, and the eventual game-winning run in the ninth to win 4-3.
Myles Hager drove in the winning run after three Otters in a row drew walks to load the bases.
Colton Fletcher earned his first win after three spotless innings of relief work, keeping the Broncos at bay.
