SEASIDE, Calif. — In a game that was close the entire way through, it was fitting that it wasn't decided until the final shot of the game. After two free throws put the Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball team down by two,
Aubri Smith (Buena HS) went coast-to-coast and tried for the game-tying lay up. Expecting contact, her lay up rimmed out but was gathered by
Courtney Keaton (Bishop Montgomery HS) for a put-back that rimmed out as well as the buzzer sounded.
Victoria Dorn (Seaside HS) and
Jessie Evans (Bret Harte HS) led the Otters in scoring with 15 and 13 points respectively.
HEARTBREAK HOTEL: The Otters are no strangers to the close games late. Tonight's loss marks the seventh time this season that CSUMB has loss by four points or less
LEADERS OF THE RAFT: POINTS: Dorn -- 15;
