SEASIDE, Calif. -- The Cal State Monterey Bay Women's Soccer team fought hard against San Francisco State on Sunday afternoon at the Otter Sports Complex and while CSUMB had their opportunities, they found the back of the net just once.
Regan Porteous (Lodi, Calif./St. Mary's HS) recorded her second goal of the season in the second half to tie the game at 1-1. However, in the 65th minute, the Gators scored the eventual winning goal, sending the Otters home with a 1–2 loss.

Despite allowing two goals, CSUMB goalkeeper Victoria Whyte (Austin, Texas/Lake Travis HS) recorded seven saves for the second time this season.

The Otters drop to 3–6, 0–3 CCAA. Monterey Bay will host the Lumberjacks of Humboldt State next Friday, October 2 at 12:30 p.m.
