SEASIDE, Calif. -- Off to its best four game start since 2013, the Cal State Monterey Bay Men's Soccer team takes it's 3–1 record into conference season, beginning on the road with matchups against Cal State East Bay and Stanislaus State.
Recently, CSUMB got it's first taste of defeat in a 4–2 loss at the hands of Fresno Pacific in the home opener for the Otters on September 12.
Through four games, the Otters have been led offensively by freshman
Michael Maul (Danville, Calif./San Ramon Valley HS) who has two game–winning goals in the young season.
The Otters will look to improve on their all-time winning record against the Pioneers (6–2–3) in the CCAA opener on Friday. In 2014, CSUMB played the full 110 minutes, leading to a 1–1 tie with CSUEB. The last time the Otters met up with Stanislaus State, they found themselves on the losing end of a 2–0 shutout.
Monterey Bay trails the Warriors in the all-time series, 6–12–4.

NSCAA National Poll, while droping to fifth in the
NSCAA West Region Poll.Friday's game at Cal State East Bay can be followed via
