LACEY, Wash. -- On the second leg of its road trip, the Cal State Monterey Bay Women's Soccer team was able to grind out a win against Saint Martin's University on Sunday afternoon.
After a foul was call inside the goal box,
Sierra Townsend netted her second goal of the season on a penalty kick in the first half giving the Otters a 1–0 lead.
Kristen Womack scored her CCAA leading fifth goal of the season in the second half, proving to be the winning goal in the 2–1 victory.
Victoria Whyte recorded five saves in the win, improving CSUMB's record to 2–3 on the season.
Monterey Bay will open the conference season on Friday, Sempteber 18 when they travel to Cal State East Bay. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Live stats can be found at
