ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Cal State Monterey Bay Women's Soccer team continued its nonconference schedule on Friday afternoon against Central Washington at the CWU Soccer Complex.
While CSUMB took nine shots, four of which were on target, the Otters could not find the back of the net eventually falling to the Wildcats by a score of 2–0.
The Wildcats got on the board early in the first half on their first shot of the game by Cassie Ripley to put the Otters in a 0–1 hole.
The second half brought more of the same for the Otters as CWU notched its second goal of the game off the foot of Whitney Lowe. The goal gave CWU a 2–0 lead, proving to be the final score.
Kristen Womack (Roseville, Calif./Woodcreek HS) and
Katherine Hearn (Austin, Texas/Lake Travis HS) each had two shots in the game while goalkeeper
Victoria Whyte (Austin, Texas/Lake Travis HS) made five saves.
The Otters fall to 1–3 after not scoring a goal in a game for the first time this season. Monterey Bay will stay in Washington for one more game when the battle Saint Martin's on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. Follow along with
