SEASIDE, Calif. -- A long overdue wait for the Cal State Monterey Bay women's basketball finally ended on Friday night as the Otters were able to play on their home court. CSUMB welcomed Stanislaus State and after a slow start to the game, the Otters shot 66.7% in the second half en route to a 63-59 win over Stan State.

However, things headed up for the Otters in the second half as they had the hot hand and shot 66.7% from the floor. Despite the hot shooting from the Otters, it was the defense that held true as CSUMB held the Warriors to just under 32% shooting (31.9%) for the night.
McKenna Hill (Ventura, Calif. / Saint Bonaventure HS) and
Victoria Dorn (Marina, Calif. / Seaside HS) each contributed 13 points and led the scoring effort for MB. J
azmine Johnson (Garden Grove, Calif. / Pacifica HS) chipped in 12 points and eight rebounds in the win. Taylor Faucett led the Warriors in scoring with 12 points while five different Warriors recorded four rebounds.
Monterey Bay will welcome Cal Poly Pomona to the Kelp Bed on Sunday for a 1pm tip off.
