SEASIDE, Calif. -- After going 1–1 last week with a nonconference win against Fresno Pacific, the search for a conference win continues for the Cal State Monterey Bay Women's Soccer team continues.
The Otters will look to turn the win column this weekend against Humboldt State on Friday and No. 14 Sonoma State on Sunday. CSUMB trails in the all–time series against both teams, but could tie the series against HSU at 8–8–2 with a win on Friday.
Over the last four games, the Otters have had trouble finding the back of the net. On 28 shots, CSUMB has scored three goals, including two in the win vs. Fresno Pacific.
Two of the Otters top players,
Kristen Womack (Roseville, Calif./Woodcreek HS) and
Regan Porteous (Lodi, Calif./St. Mary's HS) are in a battle for the top spot in two career offensive categories. Womack has the edge in both career goals scored and career point total with 14 and 36, respectively. Porteous sits close behind in both categories with 11 goals and 33 points in her career.
Monterey Bay will kickoff against Humboldt State on Friday at 12:30 p.m. and vs. Sonoma State on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
GO OTTERS!
