Dow Named CCAA Player of the Year, Headlines Five Otter All-Conference Selections

Junior forward becomes first player in CSUMB history to earn conference's top honor

November 03, 2026

SEASIDE, Calif. — Following one of the most successful seasons in program history, Cal State Monterey Bay women's soccer junior Juliana Dow made history by becoming the first Otter to be named CCAA Player of the Year, highlighting five CSUMB selections to the 2026 All-CCAA Women's Soccer Team.

Dow also earned CCAA Forward of the Year honors and a spot on the All-CCAA First Team, while juniors Gianna Foss and Naomi Tobias received second-team recognition. Defender Chloe Van Winkle and forward Ella Schug rounded out the Otter honorees with honorable mention selections.

The historic recognition caps a remarkable campaign for Dow, who established herself as one of the conference's premier offensive players. The San Diego native finished the regular season with 11 goals and 26 points, leading the CCAA in scoring while helping the Otters match their NCAA Division II-era single-season record with eight victories.

Dow's offensive production fueled Monterey Bay's late-season surge, which featured a program-record 11-match unbeaten streak and a berth in the CCAA Tournament. She scored in five consecutive matches to close the regular season and finished with five game-winning goals, ranking among the conference leaders.

Foss, a junior midfielder from Moorpark, earned All-CCAA Second Team honors after serving as a steady presence in the Otters' midfield throughout the season. Foss scored two goals and handed out two assists while firing off 24 shots.

Tobias, a junior midfielder from Fillmore, also collected second-team honors following an impressive campaign. She provided an offensive spark for the Otters, highlighted by a goal and an assist in Monterey Bay's 2-0 regular-season finale victory at Menlo that secured a CCAA Tournament berth.

Van Winkle earned honorable mention recognition as a defender after playing an important role in one of the conference's most consistent defensive units. Her work along the back line helped Monterey Bay record seven shutouts during its 11-match unbeaten streak.

Schug received honorable mention honors at forward after emerging as one of the Otters' top playmakers. She finished the regular season tied for third in the CCAA with five assists, helping create scoring opportunities for a Monterey Bay attack led by Dow.
