HAYWARD, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team fell 9-2 in its series finale against Cal State East bay on Sunday at Pioneer Field.

Senior Chris Daniels (Citrus Heights/Sierra College) was tagged with the loss after allowing seven runs on nine hits in his five and one-third innings of action.

Senior Jason Brady (Campbell/West Valley College) was the only Otter to record more than one hit in the series finale.

For the fourth time in this series, the Pioneers got on the board first with two runs in the opening inning.

The Otters cut their lead in half in the top of the fourth on Kaden Kamoe's (Aiea, Hawaii/Univ. of Hawaii) RBI double to center field.

After matching CSUMB's run in their side of the frame, the Pioneers put the game away with six runs on seven hits in the sixth inning.

The Otters' final run came in the eighth, taking advantage of a CSUEB error.

CSUMB takes to the road on Thursday April 17 for a 4-game series against Sonoma State.
