"We are fortunate that we are being recognized by the NCAA West Region Committee," said CSUMB Head Coach Erin Reinke. "It shows the program's hard work and persistence is paying off. The team had made huge strides this season. We aren't content of where we are at and we looking to move higher in the rankings after this weekend. Our motto is to get better every day and every game."

"The team has been working extremely hard day in and day out for progress and a spot at being in the playoffs," said senior captain Chelsea Strange. "I'm proud of my teammates and hopefully this ranking carries us into our games this weekend to beat Pomona and UC San Diego."
