SEASIDE, Calif. — The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has put California State University, Monterey Bay and the Otter soccer programs up for what it terms “severe and immediate” sanctions due to the actions of a CSUMB staff member.
Greg Pool, the lead staff for web services at CSUMB, has been accused of more than forty violations of established FIFA policy. The most egregious of those violations, according to the statement released by FIFA Czar and Danish Football President Glade A. Tåber, is gross anthropomorphism.
The CSUMB Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is reviewing the charges and is expected to release a formal written decision sometime this week. A press conference held earlier this morning.
