THIS WEEK: The Cal State Monterey Bay women's volleyball team hosts Sonoma State (4-2, 2-0 CCAA) and Humboldt State (3-3, 0-2 CCAA) in conference action this weekend. The Otters will look for their first win over the Seawolves since 2007 on Friday, Sept. 16. The following night, CSUMB welcomes the Lumberjacks to the Kelp Bed. Both matches begin at 7 p.m.
LOOKING AHEAD: The Otters begin their road schedule next weekend, making the difficult trip to San Francisco State and Cal Poly Pomona.

SERVING FOR THE RECORD: Senior All-American outside hitter
Rheann Fall tied the CSUMB career record for service aces on Saturday against Cal State L.A. She has accumulated 119 aces and is even with 2007 graduate Brittany Etchings. Fall is also 93 kills from passing Etchings as the CSUMB kill career record holder.
CCAA LEADERS: After the first weekend of conference play, CSUMB leads the CCAA by averaging per conference set 15.43 kills and 14.57 assists. Senior middle blocker

Rheann Fall hold the top two spots in kills per set, averaging 4.86 and 4.57 respectively. Senior setter
Monique Sena leads the conference in assists with a 12.14 average.
SCOUTING SONOMA STATE: Sonoma State is one of four CCAA teams, including the Otters, that went undefeated in the conference opening weekend. The Seawolves began CCAA play with a four-set win over Chico State and a sweep Cal State Stanislaus. Top Players: Senior outside hitter Kaela Peterson (85 kills, 43 digs) was the CCAA Player of the Week for Sept 3-11 and junior outside hitter Allyson Sather (81 kills, 3.38 kill average).
SCOUTING HUMBOLDT STATE: The Lumberjacks will play two matches this week before facing the Otters on Saturday. They are at Sonoma State on Wednesday, Sept 14 and Cal State East Bay on Friday, Sept 16. Top Player: Oceana Matsubu (98 kills, 64 digs).
