Otters Fall In Series Opener To CSUSB

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.
- The Cal State Monterey Bay baseball team dropped a 2-0 decision despite out-hitting the Coyotes of Cal State San Bernardino on Friday afternoon.

The Otters fall to 16-21 overall and 13-15 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action while the Coyotes improve to 18-17, 15-12 in conference play.

CSUMB racked up five hits with senior #Danny Nelson# knocking out two.  Junior #Jared DeCastro# along with sophomores #Ronnie Fhurong# and #Tommy George# added a hit apiece.

The Coyotes scored an unearned run in the second and added a sacrifice fly in the eighth.

Senior #Scott Tully# gave up only three hits and one earned run in his nine-innings of action on the mound.

CSUSB's Aaron Brooks recorded the win.

The Otters continue the series on Friday, April 23 with a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
