SEASIDE, Calif. - Junior #Melanie Lashbrook# led the Cal State Monterey Bay women's volleyball team to a 3-1 (22-25, 25-18, 25-20 and 25-20) victory over Notre Dame de Namur in the finale of the Otter Classic on Saturday night.
Lashbrook set a new career-high with 14 kills, 23 attempts and a .565 attack percentage on top of two blocks and one ace. Junior #Tiffaney Riggs# also dominated in the middle with 10 kills and five total blocks (two solo). Junior #Lauren Shacklock# added seven kills.
The Argonauts were led by Christina Villamayor's 18 kills and Paulina Akiona's 12 kills.
The Otters begin their California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) schedule next Friday at Cal State San Bernardino. First serve is 7 p.m.
