COACH BISHOP'S CORNER:
“This week has huge playoff implications for us.  We have to get a win at San Francisco state if we are still going to have a shot at getting in.  Then we come back home to face two teams that are in the top 5 in the conference and we need to play well.  We will have a four game home stretch that we have to win.  There is still a lot of basketball left to play but we are starting to run out of time.  If we can just get a couple more shots to fall early in the game then we should be ok.”

UPCOMING GAMES:
CSUMB competes in the Cal State Bakersfield's Roadrunner Invitational on Feb. 13-14, taking on Colorado State, Concordia - Irvine, No. 13 Hartwick College and No. 18 Cal State Bakersfield.

PREVIOUS WEEKEND: After falling 12-6 to NCAA Division I Santa Clara University, the Otters bounced back by defeating Fresno Pacific, 9-7, on Saturday at the CSUMB Aquatics Center. On Sunday, the Otters pulled off a 10-9 win over Cal State East Bay in Hayward.  Sophomore #Katie Sowul# provided the bulk of CSUMB's offense with 13 goals in the three games.

COACH FIGUEROA'S CORNER: “The team played well against Santa Clara.  We had trouble 'putting the ball away' and didn't sustain our momentum.  We took another positive step forward when we played Fresno Pacific.  Not just because we won the game but because we are learning to compete together and rely on each other.  That carried forward to our game at East Bay.  We competed well for all four quarters and that really was the difference.  It was their turn to struggle 'putting the ball away'.”
