CHICO, Calif. - The No. 24 Cal State Monterey Bay women's volleyball team went the distance and came out on top in a five set match against Chico State on Saturday night.

The final scores were 17-25, 25-20, 25-18, 23-25 and 15-10.

The Otters improve to 12-2 overall and 9-2 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action while the Wildcats dropped 8-9, 3-8 in conference play.

Junior #Rheann Fall# led the Otters with 19 kills and 15 digs for her ninth double-double of the year. Junior #Melanie Lashbrook# recorded 16 kills and junior #Lauren Shacklock# added 14 kills. Sophomore #Monique Sena# dished out 47 assist while notching a career-high five total blocks with two of them solos. Junior #Dionna Lucas# finished with a match-high 19 digs.

CSUMB outblocked the Wildcats 11-7 while both teams hit below .200 on the night.

The Otters return home on Friday to host Cal Poly Pomona at 7 p.m.
