UP NEXT: CSUMB opens up the month of October against No. 3 UC San Diego on Friday, Oct. 2.  The Otters than take on Cal State East Bay the following day in Hayward.

LOOKING AHEAD: CSUMB returns home to the Kelp Bed, hosting three home matches beginning with a non-conference opponent Academy of Art University on Wednesday, Oct. 7.  The Otters resume their CCAA schedule with Cal State San Bernardino on Friday, Oct. 9 and Cal Poly Pomona on Saturday, Oct. 10.

PAST WEEKEND: CSUMB dropped a three-set match to Cal State L.A. on Friday, Sept. 25 before rebounding with a three-set sweep over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday, Sept. 26.

NATIONALLY RANKED: The Otters are in the top 100 in the country in four categories; 40th in Digs per set (16.32), 63rd in Aces per set (1.86), 72nd in Assists per set (11.3) and 77th in Kills per set (12.2). Sophomore #Rheann Fall# is ranked 12th in the nation in kills per set, averaging 4.08 after 53 sets.

RANKING UP AGAINST THE CCAA:  The Otters continue to lead the conference in aces (2.32) and digs (16.82) per set. #Rheann Fall# is tied for first with 17 aces by averaging .61 a set.

CHASING 1,000: #Katie Bos# reached her 1,000 career digs milestone on Saturday, Sept 12 against Chico State.  The senior is ranked second in the CSUMB record books for digs behind Brittany Etchings (1,304 from 2004-07).

THE TRITONS: No. 3 UC San Diego is 14-1 with its lone loss a four-set match to No. 2 Cal State San Bernardino on Sept. 11.  The Tritons are No. 9 in the country in aces, averaging 2.74 a set. Sylvian Schmidt is ranked 19th in the nation in kills per set (3.85).

THE POINEERS: This is the first meeting against Cal State East Bay.  The Pioneers, who are coming off a three-set sweep over then No. 24 Chico State, are in a three-way tie for eighth place in the CCAA standings with CSUMB and Humboldt State.
