UP NEXT: The Otters hosts three CCAA matches in four days, welcoming San Francisco State on Wednesday, Sept. 16, follow by match-ups against Humboldt State and No. 13 Sonoma State on Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19, respectively.

LOOKING AHEAD: CSUMB hits the road for back-to-back weekend, opening up against Cal State L.A. on Friday, Sept. 25.

PAST WEEKEND: CSUMB opened its CCAA play with a sweep over Cal State Stanislaus on Friday, Sept. 11.  The Otters tied a school record with 14 aces in the three sets. On Saturday, CSUMB dropped a five-set thriller to Chico State.

SOFTBALL CCAA BANNER CEREMONY: The 2009 CCAA Tournament Champions CSUMB softball team was honored by the unveiling of its championship banner on Friday, Sept 11 at the CSUMB-Stanislaus volleyball match.  This was the first CCAA championship in CSUMB history.

CHASING 1,000: Katie Bos reached her 1,000 career digs milestone on Saturday, Sept 12 against Chico State.  The senior is ranked second in the CSUMB record books for digs behind Brittany Etchings (1,304 from 2004-07).

NATIONALLY RANKED: Sophomore Rheann Fall is ranked 5th in the nation in kills per set, averaging 4.36 after 36 sets.

AROUND THE CCAA: After two conference matches, the Otters are in the top 5 in five categories; 1st in Aces (2.88 per set), 2nd in Kills (13.5 per match), 2nd in Assists (12.75), 4th in Digs (15.75), 5th in Block (1.94).

THE GATORS: With the series tied at one match apiece, the Otters were victorious in the last meeting on Oct. 25 with five-set victory (27-25, 20-25, 19-25, 25-16, 15-9) at SF State.

THE LUMBERJACKS: CSUMB is 2-3 against Humboldt State all-time. The Lumberjacks swept CSUMB (25-14, 25-21, 25-15) on Nov. 1, 2008.

THE SEAWOLVES: Sonoma State leads the series 6-3. The Seawolves, who finished second in the CCAA standings last year, are undefeated thus far with ten victories under their belt.
