Senior Nate Torricelli named to All-Tournament Team

CHICO, Calif.
– The Cal State Monterey Bay Otters fell 1-0 to Saint Martin's University on Monday in the finale of the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Chico State. 

After a scoreless first half, the Saints scored in the 68th minute on Brandon Scott's long throw-in that Xan Nixon headed into the goal.

Saint Martin's outshot CSUMB 12-7 with #Brenden Baca# making seven saves for the Otters.

#Max Brixey#, #Eli Zamora#, #Eric Alsop# and #Grant Robson# each recorded shots on goal.

"Team played well but a defensive miscue led to the throw-in goal," said head coach #Artie Cairel#. "The team played it's best soccer but couldn't put the game away.

"Happy with the effort but disappointed with the result."

The Otters play their home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 8 against the Falcons of Seattle Pacific University.  Game time is set for 3 p.m.
