BELMONT, Calif. – Senior #Katie Bos# racked up 23 digs to become the CSUMB's all-time dig leader as the Cal State Monterey Bay women's volleyball team defeated Notre Dame de Namur in five sets (25-21, 25-19, 24-26, 13-25, 15-4) in a non-conference match on Tuesday night.
The Otters improved to 11-17 overall while the Argonauts dropped to 11-20.
Sophomore #Rheann Fall# led the Otters with her 16th double-double of the season, posting 21 kills and 16 digs. Senior #Kerri Sudarsana# and sophomore #Melanie Lashbrook# each added nine kills with junior #Lauren Manzo# dishing out 35 assists. Senior #Elizabeth Hanna# recorded four aces while hitting a .381 clip (8-for-21).
Bos only need 17 digs prior to tonight's match to pass former Otter, Brittany Etchings, as the career dig leader. In her four years at CSUMB, Bos has averaged 3.35 digs per set and has 1,310 career digs with four matches remaining in the season.
The Argonauts had four players in double-digits in kills with Breanna Morales leading the way with 17.
CSUMB started the match strong, recording 15 kills on 36 attempts and no errors for a .417 attack percentage as a team in the first set
The Otters return home on Friday, Nov. 6 to host Cal State East Bay at 7 p.m. at the Otter Sports Center.
