ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay Otters were swept by the No. 20 Sonoma State Seawolves on Friday evening in volleyball action at the Wolves' Den, 25-21, 25-15, 27-25.
The Otters fall to 8-15 (3-11 CCAA) while Sonoma State improved to 18-5, 10-5 in conference play.
Senior #Kerri Sudarsana# led CSUMB with a dozen kills, as senior #Alisha Thomas# tallied 11 kills, nine digs and three aces. Junior #Lauren Manzo# dished out 24 assists, while libero #Katie Bos# recorded 13 digs.
The Seawolves' Keala Peterson and Allyson Sather each notched a match-high 16 kills with Rikki Buckshnis adding six.
After falling in the first two sets, the Otters stepped it up in the third and final set by forcing 13 ties and three lead changes. CSUMB racked up a match-high .324 attack percentage with Sudarsana nabbing six kills on eight attempts and no errors.
The Otters travel north to Arcata, as they will face off against the Lumberjacks of Humboldt State on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.
