SEASIDE, Calif. – With four players registering double-digits in kills, the Cal State Monterey Bay women's volleyball team clinched a 3-2 victory over Notre Dame de Namur University tonight at the Kelp Bed. The Otter improved to 4-9 overall and the Argonants dropped to 1-14.
Freshman #Rheann Fall# notched her third double-double of the season with 15 kills and 12 digs. Sophomore #Dana Grimm# dished out 39 assists while leading the Otters with 20 digs. Junior #Rayna Richardson# finished with 13 kills and a .355 clip. Junior #Elizabeth Hanna# nabbed a season high 12 kills. Junior #Kerri Sudarsana# had a season-high six blocks on top of 10 kills.
The Argonauts were led by Lauren Quach with 13 kills. Libero Shauna Folan finished with 20 digs.
"I am proud of how our team played with passion and intensity," said head coach Jody Garry. "This was an important win to take us into our first road trip at Humboldt State and Sonoma State."
The Otters hit the road for the first time this seaon next weekend as they take on Humboldt State University (Friday) and Sonoma State University (Saturday). Both games begin at 7 p.m.
