LIVERMORE, Calif. — Cal State Monterey Bay's #Cicilia Chudivan# shot a 77 Tuesday and increased her four-stroke lead at the start of the day by another stroke as she won the First Notre Dame De Namur Women's Golf  Invitational. CSUMB finished second in the four-team tourney.

Both Chudivan, who finished +8, and her team led after the first day. The Otters shot a combined 319 on Monday and led St. Martin's by a stroke. But the CSUMB team struggled Tuesday, shooting 350, 12 more strokes than any other team. The two-day score of 669 was good enough for second, one stroke ahead of host Notre Dame, but was 25 behind rival St. Martin's.

Going into the tourney, St. Martin's was ranked 28th in the nation at the Division II level and seventh in the West Region, one ahead of CSUMB.

Next, the women will host the Third Annual Lady Otter Spring Invitational at Bayonet Golf Course, which begins Monday and finishes Tuesday. Fourteen teams will compete in the tourney, including last year's winner Tarleton State University from Texas and the event's inaugural winner, Chico State University. The tournament will tee off at 8 a.m. both days.
