CARSON, Calif. – Despite tying the sets at one a piece in a best-of-five match, the Cal State Monterey Bay women's volleyball team were unable to pull out the victory, falling to the Toros of Cal State Dominguez Hills in four sets, 25-23, 17-25, 25-22 and 25-17.
Junior #Rayna Richardson# picked up a team-high 11 kills, while freshman #Rheann Fall# contributed 10 kills. Sophomore #Dana Grimm# dished out 31 assists and freshman #Dionna Lucas# added 13 digs.
The Toros were led by sophomore Marissa Anderson with 14 kills.
CSUMB finished with nine aces and six blocks to the Toros' six aces and four blocks.
The Otters wrap up their 2008 away schedule on Saturday night when they face Cal State L. A. at 7 p.m. in the Eagles Nest.
