2014 – CSUMB: DJ Gresham–Ryder should continue to be a force in the middle for the Otters after a solid first two seasons in Seaside…finished third on the team in attack percentage as a sophomore (.215)…her nine blocks in a win at Cal State Stanislaus (Sept. 19) matched her career high and rank No. 2 on the CSUMB list for a 4–set match…her career average of 0.87 bps ranks No. 2 on the CSUMB career list entering the season…enters the season just 15 blocks outside of the Otter career top 10.

2013 – CSUMB: DJ quickly earned a spot in the Otter starting lineup as a freshman and responded with one of the top blocking seasons in Otter history…became the first Otter ever to total 100 blocks in a season (104) while also setting the single–season mark with 84 block assists…her 20 block solos rank No. 3 on that list…her nine blocks in a 5–set win at Cal State L.A. (Oct. 4) rank No. 2 on that list and are tied for No. 3 in a match in Otter history…is the only player in Otter history to record six or more blocks in a 3–set match four times in one season…reached double figures for the first time with 11 kills in a 4–set win over Humboldt State (Sept. 27)…hit a season–best .500 with a season–high 12 kills at Cal State Stanislaus (Oct. 25).

High School: DJ is part of the recent influx of Otter talent from the CIF Sac–Joaquin Section (Janai Johnson, Jessica Malcolm) after attending prep school in 2012…originally committed to Air Force out of Stockton’s Chavez High School twice named all–area by the Stockton Record, including a first team nod in 2011…two–time All–San Joaquin Athletic Association selection…led the Titans with 330 kills (3.1 kps) as a senior in 2011, including a season–high 23 kills in a four–set win over Modesto Christian…also chipped in a team best 2.3 blocks per set and added 1.4 digs per set…helped the Titans to 26 wins, a second place finish in the San Joaquin Athletic Association and a berth in the CIF Sac–Joaquin Section Div. I Tournament…enjoyed her best attacking season as a junior, leading the Titans with 351 kills.

Personal: DJ’s full first name is DaJanae…will celebrate her 21^st birthday during the NCAA West Regional (Dec. 4)…is majoring in nursing and hopes to enter the Air Force as a nurse after graduation…attended the Air force Academy but did not play volleyball in 2012–13.
