High School: Amani Broyles is the rare freshman who walked on to the team at the start of preseason training and immediately earned her Otter uniform…played libero and outside hitter in high school…prepped at Great Oak High School as a senior after spending her first three seasons playing varsity volleyball for nearby Linfield Christian…was Linfield’s team MVP as a sophomore in 2010…set a school record with 23 kills versus Loma Linda Academy that season…played her travel ball with the Temecula Viper VBC, So Cal VBC and 951 Elite.

Personal: Broyles plans to major in global studies and minor in Spanish at CSUMB…Amani means “peace” in Swahili…hopes to go to law school after graduation…parents are Donny and Sonya Broyles…has a younger brother, Jarrett.
